It is not recommended that you do anything unless you are certain that no harm will come to your jewellery as a result of cleaning. We do not take any responsibility for damage which ensues from your actions.
Hairsprays, suntan lotions, soaps, hand creams, washing-up liquid and make-up. Chemicals and substances like these can damage your jewellery.

Gardening, swimming, sleeping, showering, bathing and exercising, a humid climate as well as body products and secreted acids can discolour your jewellery.

Memories In Glass do not offer refunds or replacements for lost or stolen items. We recommend the use of safety chains on bracelets and insurance cover is advisable on all valuable jewellery. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Our silver jewellery is 92.5% sterling silver, meaning at least 925 parts out of 1000 parts is pure silver. For the rest of the mix, we use copper as it provides durability and strength since 100% pure silver is too soft to wear. Typically, allergic reactions with silver jewellery are related to alloying silver with nickel. We do not alloy with nickel for that reason.

Sterling Silver naturally tarnishes gradually as it reacts with oxygen and moisture in the air. The best way to avoid your sterling silver jewellery from tarnishing is to wear it regularly.
Although extremely rare, some people are allergic to the metals and finishes commonly used in making jewellery. It is the responsibility of the consumer to be aware of any allergies he or she may have to metals (gold, silver, etc.) or the oxidation applied to metals (liver of sulphur) prior to making a purchase. Because there is no way for us to know the medical history of our customers, Memories In Glass will not be held liable for any allergic reactions that may occur as a result of wearing our jewellery.

Jewellery designs contain small component parts such as charm beads, which may present a choking hazard if ingested. As a result, jewellery from Memories In Glass should always be kept out of the reach of young children or other individuals likely to ingest the jewellery or its component parts. Jewellery should never be worn in the bath, shower, pool or bed, and it should never be placed in the mouth due to risk of choking.
